Reduce Your Wedding Planning Stress

Don't Stress On Your Wedding Day!

We've all heard about the horror stories that come with wedding planning, but you can rest easy knowing it doesn't have to be that way when you're planning yours. What we're trying to say is that wedding planning isn't all stress and chaos! This should be an exciting time of your life while you look forward to this major milestone with your sweetheart. We try to be as helpful as we can to our clients throughout the entire process of planning a wedding. Here are number tips you can bring with you into your planning to assure that you're approaching it as a calm and collected team through the entire process.

Pay attention to self care

Self care is important when planning a wedding! It's important to pay attention to your mental state and use healthy coping mechanisms when you're feeling the pressure. How about booking a couples massage, doing some journaling, or participating in some arts and crafts? It's all about whatever makes you feel good! You will be able to accomplish much more in your planning when you aren't pouring from an empty cup.

Boundaries are important

There is a lot of pressure and expectations that come along with wedding planning. Don't feel like you have to do it all or please everybody! What is most important is executing the vision that you desire, regardless of what your family and friends think. Staying true to your own needs and wants is the best way to have a wedding that reflects your personality and values.

Blow off steam with exercise

We all know that exercise is a great way to reduce stress! There are a ton of opportunities for you to exercise with your partner in a way that doesn't seem like a chore. Whether it's taking a walk, stretching out with some yoga or hitting the dance floor, exercising is sure to help you blow off some of that wedding planning steam in a healthy way.

Take the present moment in

Most of the mood toward wedding planning is not being able to wait to experience this event that you've worked so hard to create. However, it's important to stay in the present moment during this time. Even if you're feeling a bit stressed now, there will come a time where you'll wish that you were able to come back and do it all again, especially with how fast time flies. Enjoy the process of wedding planning!

Keep your eye on the prize

When things start to get overwhelming, zoom out a bit and take a look at the bigger picture. This is one of the most important periods of time in your life. This is a goal that many people have, and you should consider yourself fantastically lucky to be in the position that you're in now. There is nothing quite like a hefty dose of gratitude to humble you while you're feeling a bit stressed.
